Facial Medical Needling

Medical needling is performed to induce collagen and elastin production in order to rejuvenate the skin, improve photo aged skin, as well as to remodel scars, due to acne or surgical interventions.

The procedure is performed in conjunction with an anti-ageing homecare regime, including derma-cosmeceutical products and a Home Roller.

The treatment is offered as a package of 4- 6 treatments, performed at an interval of 4-6 weeks. *Collagen and elastin are gradually increased over a period of 4 months after each treatment.

The skin is prepared with a strong anaesthetic ointment for 45-60 minutes before the treatment. The skin is then needled with needles of a length that varies between 0.5mm and 2mm, after which an intensive anti-ageing serum is applied.

*Downtime varies according to the intensity of the treatment and can range from approximately 12 hours to 36 hours. In most cases women can easily cover the redness or pin-point scabbing (in the case of a more intensive treatment) with foundation.

You should refrain from exposing the treated area to direct sunlight or irritating substances, such as chlorine, for a period of 2 weeks following your treatment and avoid strenuous exercise with excessive perspiration for a period of 7 days.
