Hyaluronic Fillers

Hyaluronic acid fillers are formulated to contain different particle sizes to achieve natural effects* for different needs.  Hyaluronic acid fillers are safe and completely bio-degradable.

Fine Hyaluronic acid fillers are used to hydrate the skin or plump out fine lines – also see Skin Booster – or to create a more defined lip line; medium fillers to plump out lips or deep lines and medium folds; and thick fillers to soften deep folds or to emphasise the cheek bones, the brows, the chin or to perform jaw line re-contouring.

The effect is immediate. *Downtime varies considerably, depending on the area to be treated. Discuss any planned social events with your practitioner prior to the treatment.

A consultation is important for the practitioner to ascertain your specific needs and to offer the most appropriate treatment.

The skin can be prepared with an anaesthetic ointment for 45-60 minutes before the procedure or, alternatively, an injectable Lignocaine block can be performed. Fine needles and cannulas limit bruising and swelling.

Collagen-stimulating fillers

Polycaprolactone (PCL) fillers consist of bioresorbable Polycaprolactone microspheres, suspended in a bioresorbable Phosphate Buffered Saline-based Carboxymethylcellulose Gel-carrier. Polycaprolactone fillers are used to plump out areas of volume loss and to re-shape facial contours. Polycaprolactone fillers can also be used to volumise and rejuvenate the hands. Immediate improvement will be visible, but the Polycaprolactone also stimulates collagen production, which facilitates further improvement for up to *3-4 months after the treatment. These properties, therefore, also ensure longer lasting effects, with effects lasting up to *24 months.
